The Land of Kosmara



Guide to the States of Kosmara

Kosmara comprises seven separate polities, some more formally governed than others.

  • This region is largely wooded with a reach of plains on the south side, and borders both the Wyldes and Tor Grikkon. The state is ruled by a governing council formed from the three primary races of Maldataure: Hoblings, High Ogres, and Sylvanborn.

  • This region includes both plains and mountains, and is rich in ores and minerals. Previously controlled entirely by the Dwarven Empress known as the Dark Matron, Tor Grikkon also houses Biata and High Orcs. A recent coup and rebellion has overthrown the Dark Matron, and a council now oversees Tor Grikkon as they rebuild and search for a new leader.

  • This region is surrounded by a protective ring of mountains, which then give way into a large

    and fertile valley. Ruled by a council known as the Acolytes of the Pure, Prashant is home to the

    Elves of Kosmara: the Dark Elves, the Stone Elves, and the Elves.

  • The Wyldes of Kosmara are largely unknown to most travelers, except as a place where even the brave dare not tread. This land is protected at the boundaries by Selunari and Oathsworn that refuse entry to all but those with diplomatic permission to enter.

  • This region is aptly named for its vegetative climate: Zemrackor is entirely a jungle. This land

    is not formally held together by a governing body, and houses Wylderkin of a largely tribal nature.

  • Directly north of the Zemrackor Jungle is a barren region known as the Kematian Border.

    Nothing lives on or near this cursed land, for even the air and soil are poisonous to living creatures.

  • The Orenda is a vast desert Queendom held by Queen Sarsendra and her Eternal Army. This

    is the largest stronghold of Undead in all of Kosmara, with both a living and an undead population that co-exist peacefully with one another. The Orenda is ruled by Lionkin and other large cat-kin.

  • This Human kingdom has many different climates due to its central location on the continent. While other races have occasionally lived in Mercatos in small numbers, this polity is governed by Humans and for Humans. The Mercation border has recently expanded during a war with the Wyldes and those that dwell there.


Sanctuary

Sanctuary is the home of the players at Alliance Crossroads.

Nestled on the border of Mercatos and the Wyldes - a small shanty town that has grown over recent years, it provides safe haven for any travelers, protected from the Mercatians by a man made canal.
